I don't know why we're all nervous. It's Thursday, not Sunday.

I am actually impressed that Baker did some actually managing there. It wasn't just using guys in their preordained roles. Glad it worked out, but even if it didn't, I applaud it.

Leaving Hannahan in drew the lefty. Jack fanned and it was an easy inning. And now Frazier is out of the ballgame.

thank god for Soriano being a moron
“I don’t care,” Votto said of passing his friend and former teammate. “He’s in the past. Bye-bye, Jay.”

    Lecure, not Brox.

Wonder if Chappy will be rested.

    Terrible Cubs play there.

In a spot in the order that hopefully doesn't have to bat again unless we're piling on in the 9th.
    Is it "next season" yet?

You have to wonder how much medication Cubs fans are really on. Could you imagine watching this everyday?
This is the ol Left Hander rounding third and heading for home.

And to think...there was a whole thread earlier this season about fans wanting to acquire Soriano

Either Brox or Aroldis being rested I'd guess.

Reading Baker's mind, I'd guess he wants Chapman rested for the Brewers who can hit.

One run game. Votto, Phillips, Bruce and Frazier would be due next inning.

Now it's Votto, Phillips, Bruce and the pitcher's spot.

    To accomplish what, exactly?

I blame the seagulls for that walk.

This bullpen needs a lot of fixing.

I don't believe it for a second. Defensive metrics are crap. I've watched plenty of Barney and he's a fine 2b...but he PALES in comparison...it's NO contest.
