3-7 in extras. Bullpen can't keep us out of extras and the offense can't score in extras.
Yes that was a very impressive infield single. I thought for a second it was leaving the yard. - texasdave 10/13/12

6th time #Reds have lost a game that they led going to 8th, that happened seven times all of 2012.

They say it all evens out and all that, but this club has lost way more games that they should have won than won games they should have lost.

They are pretty pitiful when they go to extras as well. I think they need a caffeine boost next time it goes past 9. Heck, they put me to sleep.

Rest assured, Walt will address the bullpen at the trading dead line. It's the one glaring weakness on this team.

Latos was given five runs and was very mediocre through 6 innings. Leaving a lot of clean up work for a shaky and injury riddled pen.

A well earned team loss today (minus Curtis Partch and Brucey)

I would rather the Reds win 90 and finish 15 games back of the Cards (and get a WC), than win 97 to 100 and finish 5-8 games behind the Cards (and get a WC).

As nice as a sweep would have been, 3-4 ain't bad. Now, let's see them take the series against the Brewers

Seriously, when is Marshall coming back? The bridge from the 6th to the 9th is starting to look like the Bridge of Death on Monty Python and the Holy Grail.

But who is the troll asking the questions?

Ok, but this one should have been in the bag before a very tough stretch coming up from now to the ASB.

Brox failed in the 8th so we get LeCure. Isn't that three straight times he's failed?

I don't know why but so far it's been hard for me to get too excited about this Reds team. They beat up on bad teams, struggle mightily against teams above .500, the offense just falls asleep at certain times like today, and the bullpen is horrible. Six of the 27 losses have came in the 8th inning or later. That's just way too many games to give away.
    I miss Adam Dunn.
