    Sam LeCure Tweets Out

He speaks or rather he tweets:

    https://twitter.com/mrLeCure

"For those that hate me all of a sudden, I have got something you can kiss. For those sticking with me, thanks for the support."

"Definitely one of my worst weeks I've had throwing a baseball, tough to swallow for sure. I'm also definitely workin hard ti fix it."

let's hope he turns it around, he will play a key role going forward.

I'm sure he'll catch some flak for that, but I like it. One of the top bullpen arms around. Just a tough week.

I'm solidly in Sam's corner, because even though he has hit a rough patch he is still one of the Reds' best relievers.

However, I question the wisdom of tweeting something of this sort. He probably needs a tougher skin. There are certain kinds of contests in which you don't want to compete against skunks.

Lord knows if Joe Nuxhall tweeted in 1960 he never would have come back, they wouldn't have let him.

If poor Sammie thinks his job is tough, well my alarm clock goes off at 6:00 AM. And when I don't do my job, I don't get criticised, I get fired.

I've always liked you Sam but you've blown three winnable games in a row at a time when we needed someone to step up and replace Marshall.

Maybe the one positive about this tweet is that it means Sam isn't injured. But if he isn't that makes his recent doldrums all the more perplexing.

Sam has done his job just fine for his entire career. He works in a job where failure from time to time is acceptable. Your job isn't comparable to his job. I am betting there are a lot more than 450 people in the world that can do your job. There probably aren't more than 450 people in the world capable of being a Major League caliber pitcher at any given time (that is 15 per team).

I will never understand why people try to compare their job to that of an athlete. They aren't.

This is similar to what Jay Bruce did some time back. I agree it's not going to accomplish much to tweet something like that, but I can understand his desire to talk back to people who are criticizing him.

Well, sometimes your account will get picked up for a sitcom spinoff starring William Shatner...

I caught a clip from The Jimmy Kimmel Show, and he got athletes to read critical tweets that they had received. Funny stuff, lotta bleeps.

    Twitter should be avoided.

I like LeCure but sports is a "what have you done for me lately" and lately Sam has been bad so expect some criticism. Hoepfully he isn't injured because the Reds need him big time.

Do the Reds take a disciplinary course with this? Or MLB? If I were an owner or gm I would be upset by this
