Not sure I understand sitting Votto and XPaul against a tough righty. Votto does hit everyone but against RHP he's 200 points higher in OPS this year.

Just like Cozart sat against a lefty this week.

I do agree that both Joey and XPaul did not look their best yesterday. Maybe that's the reason.

And also, Hannahan doesn't hit lefties much. So if he's the backup, it may explain why Joey would sit and Jack would play v. a righty.

And Dusty doesn't like Paul against crafty types, he likes him against fastball pitchers.

Whatever, I'm sure there's a reason for it.
    Man...that is a brilliant observation.

    That's classic Redszone awesomeness.

The Brewers have a cat named Scooter Genney in the lineup.

If there has been a better baseball name, I haven't heard it. Can't wait until he hits against Homer.

Votto badly needs a day off (when the rest of the team is playing).

It is true. Having watched Paul this season, Baker may have a point.

Yup. Hope you don't think I was being sarcastic.

He needs it though. Hopefully it kicks him back into gear.
I've been saying Votto has needed a day off for a while and I'm glad he's getting it. However, it really ticks me off that Votto is outta the lineup on a Friday night in CINCINNATI!!!! Fans pay to see Votto! He should of had the off day yesterday on the road. If I was at the game I'd be a little angry at that decision. Poor decision.

Robinson catches a fly to left and things are underway in Great American Ballpark with the first out of the Brewers.

I've never seen Cozart make a throw like that. Hope it doesn't come back to haunt them.

Choo with the running game there, and a stolen base to put him on third. Nice!
