Arroyo allowed a homer and two hits to the last three batters before that walk.

    He's pitched 7 and 2/3 inning.

I'd go with the bullpen. And for Aoki I would have used a lefty.

    Now we're beyond that.

No guarantees for relievers, but at some point the pitcher is done. Bronson was done.

I think you are missing it. I don't think most are upset because the bullpen is struggling as much as they are upset because of how the pen is being handled.

Maybe because the guys we'd be getting ready have been giving up runs left and right.

Arroyo's career OPS against on pitches 75-100 is actually better than pitches 1-25 and 50-75, which makes it seem doubtful that everyone and their brother really know anything

I have no problem with Dusty leaving Arroyo out there. The bullpen has been horrible lately and they are short tonight. LeCure is probably the best option right now.

    Again, the career numbers.

Arroyo is no youngster. Neither am I. I can tell you, it makes a difference.

    kiss something, haters!
“I don’t care,” Votto said of passing his friend and former teammate. “He’s in the past. Bye-bye, Jay.”

Fly to end the inning! Breath of relief there.

You can't honestly tell me you'd rather have Manny Parra... against anyone, than you would Bronson Arroyo.

This is where worshiping handedness of batters & pitchers goes overboard. Parra is not a very good pitcher. Doesn't matter who he's facing. I know I trust Arroyo against anyone more than I would Parra.
