All right, boys, time to put the Brewers out of our misery.

    Again, trying to cherry-pick.

But you know what? I'll play along.

THIS year, here are his splits by pitch number:

    1-25: .573
    25-50: .710
    50-75: .733
    75-100: .697

So even this year, at age 36, he pitches better after pitch No. 75 than he does pitches 25-75.

K-Rod in, the guy I say the Reds should acquire.
“I don’t care,” Votto said of passing his friend and former teammate. “He’s in the past. Bye-bye, Jay.”

    Small sample.

    2012 Innings 7-9. ERA of 6.10.
    2011 Innings 7-9. ERA of 6.45.

Much lower this year, very small sample.

now would be a good time for Hannahan's first HR as a Redleg.

Inability to get that runner in from third base with one out back in the second inning is looking huge right now. Just like leaving the bases loaded with one out yesterday came back to haunt.

Is that because he gets pulled at about 80 pitches? How many pitches does he average per start? (Not trying to be lazy I have no idea where I would look up the stuff you are posting.)

Cards get a run to make it 5-4, now moving to the bottom of 8.

Jake Westbrook beginning his 'welcome back to planet earth' journey, giving up 8 hits and 3 earned in 5 innings.

Offense still missing in action...only 8 hits in our last 16 innings. 3-3 going to 9th.

You're seriously using the "small sample" card after not wanting to use career numbers? Really?

Then let's just use his career numbers, which I already provided, if you are concerned with small samples.

You don't want to use career numbers because you cite age. Now you don't want to use his most recent performance, because you cite sample size.

That's about as blatant an example of cherry-picking stats as I've ever heard.

I'm not talking so much about pitch counts, really.

Hasn't it been pretty widely accepted that when Bronson loses it, it goes fast?

Here are his plate appearances against by category:

    1-25: 86
    25-50: 92
    50-75: 104
    75-100: 63
