You don't want to use career numbers because you cite age. Now you don't want to use his most recent performance, because you cite sample size.

I'm not talking so much about pitch counts, really.Arroyo's career OPS against on pitches 75-100 is actually better than pitches 1-25 and 50-75, which makes it seem doubtful that everyone and their brother really know anything
