Don't know why, but I hope it continues. He's better than the regular guys (except he thinks every fly ball is a deep drive).

Better voice than Kelch (but I like Kelch).
Better everything else than Marty or Thom.
Doesn't offend my ears with clumsy english like Brantley or Casey.
Welch is a color guy. I like George Grande as well.

I actually kind of like him. He isn't a great announcer, but I'll take some sunshine over the usual dose of whininess from a certain Frick Award winner's son.

There is so much dead air when he is making the call it is painful. I get that it is TV, so I can see what is going on. But there is 10 seconds of silence between every pitch.
Which some of us enjoy very much. Sometimes just listening to the ambient noise is nice.

Beats the heck out of the rants of Marty and Thom. I've actually not noticed the dead air. I have noticed the lack of noise pollution.

True enough. But Thom's voice is like nails on a chalkboard to me, so I'll put up with a lot to avoid it.
