Who was worse on that play, the Cubs or the ump? Geez.

Wow. Blown call totally. Baseball loves the Cardinals. Wow.

His call mixed me up! He signals safe, then stabs his right arm down, then signals safe again. (like the guy dropped the ball)

No whining, that's for Cardinal fans.

I agree. I'm thinking of a magical picture box that would be useful in viewing replays of key moments. I see no reason to only use it for homers.

LOL....that's a good one. I am a Card fan. (tho' sorely disillusioned for the last 18 years) But an objective one that hates on no team. (Well, maybe the Yankees)

Will Venable just made the best catch I have ever seen watching a game live on TV. Saved a game winning hit as he had to dive in deep CF. As they now go to 13th in San Francisco.

The Padres have won 7 straight to get themselves into the mix of things in the tight NL West race.
Around here we were already assuming they would be sellers at the deadline and thought of them as possible trading partners.

    Jesse Crain

Crain is probably the single most likely player to change teams this summer. The White Sox aren’t going to be in the playoff picture this year, Crain is a free agent at year’s end, and with Jake Peavy hitting the disabled list, he’s probably their single best trade chip to try and bring back some young talent. Toss in the fact that he’s only making $4.5 million in total this year, and Crain doesn’t come with any of the things that might hold a team back from acquiring Papelbon. And while he might not have the proven closer label, he’s developed into a guy who has earned a shot at a ninth inning gig.
    Stats on the season

    11.94 K/9
    2.56 BB/9
    0.98 WHIP
    0.53 ERA
    .293 BABIP

Someone is going to scoop this guy up at the deadline and have a major weapon for the late innings. Now that the Padres appear to be in the race, time to pilfer the ChiSox, somehow.

Also Zack Wheeler makes his big league debut for the Mets. I'm a sucker for big time prospects. Wil Myers starting in a double header today against the Red Sox. Good day for prospect watching!

Indeed...I don't understand how they do it. NL West becoming even more interesting than our division!

Jeff Szemarjin (sic) may hold down the Cards tonite, but the Cubbies will have to play a little better D than they have shown lately. Waino has a rediculous K to BB ratio as evidenced by his 10-1 record.
