    I think this is correct:

    A. If the Pirates and Reds sweep these series, the Pirates would be in first place and would lead the Reds by 4.5 games. They currently lead Reds by 3.5 and they would gain a game.

    B. If the Reds sweep and the Pirates win three of five against the Cards, then the Cards would be in first place and would lead the Reds by 3 games. The Cards currently lead by 5 and would lose two to the Reds.

here comes trouble for Pitt -- leadoff triple & bloop (blart?) no outs

Have a feeling the Cards might absolutely wipe the floor with Pitt in this series and take 4 of 5. As I type, the pirates up 4-1 in 6.

Holliday getting a DP is almost a certainty these days.

now 6 - 1 Pitt in bottom of 7th and Pitt still hitting

    correction - now 8 - 1

Pitt piling it on now --- 9 - 1 and still going

At some point we'll have to admit they are for real.

    What's everyone rooting for here?

I'm rooting for 4 Pirates wins..don't want them to get too confident with 5. And lots of bullpen work, especially for the Cards.

I think it's one of those "careful what you wish for" deals.

I've been admitting they're real for 3 years now. If not for some historical collapses........

Solid young core, solid young players coming in the pipeline, heavy focus on pitching...lots to like about what the Pirates are doing recently for Bucs fans.

So...I haven't posted in a long time on here. Today was the first game I have seen at PNC since 2006. I made the drive across Ohio today (and you guys have a beautiful state, BTW). What a game to witness! Hoping for at least one more win tomorrow.

Welcome back! So I assume the directions we gave you worked out OK?
