Pirates trail Phils on July 4 by two runs after 8 innings. With Reds rainout, main goal is to see Bucs and Cards lose. Cards play Angels later in California.

Indians blow a 5-0 lead by giving up 10 runs in the last three innings. On just four hits.

Angels beat Wainright and Mujica in the ninth. Three run rally, Josh Hamlton homer. Reds gain on Pirates and Cards on the Fourth.

The Angels put a 3-spot in the 9th to come back and win 6-5!

Pretty good day for the Reds even though they didn't play. Gained a 1/2 game on the Pirates and Cards. They did lose a 1/2 game to the Nationals in the WC standings.

Edward Mujica has been trending back toward his true performance level for a few weeks now. As has been Jason Grilli. Meanwhile, Mr. Chapman looked really, really good again Wednesday night.

Scrubbies with an early 2-1 lead over Pirates thanks to Scott Hairston bomb off Liriano.

Those were the first runs the Cubs scored off Liriano this season to end a 16 inning drought against the revived lefty.

And Cubs being Cubs, they quickly gave up the lead. Currently 4-2 Pirates

5-2 now in the top of the 7th. Man, those Cubs are a tough team to watch.

I know, those guys win the Cup, and, like it's not bad enough they make them watch the Cubs play, they make them sing, too?

First time since 1903 that the Pirates and Red Sox were leading their league in wins after July 4th. That year they faced off in the first World Series.

I have Rays-White Sox here, did anyone see the Giants bat out of order? How does that happen?
