It is early early early but the Cards jump ahead 1-0. Washington leads Atlanta 1-0 as well. Normally I don't pull for other teams but it would be nice if the Indians made the playoffs. They are engaging Detroit in a four-game series, I believe.
A summer watching a bad Reds' team, is still a pretty good summer.

Puig is a great hitter but he still has a little to learn about fielding.

    Dodgers 2-1 after 3.

Wainwright is having serious communication problems with Tony Cruz.

He has a lot to learn but his fielding highlight jammed with a couple misplays and one of the best arms in a decade.

Dodgers 15 in a row on the road.

    All-time series tied 1009-1009 in Dodgers/Cards games.

    Dodgers beat Cards 3-2.

Dodgers have been playing .800 ball over their last 30+ games.

The last team to win 15 straight on the road were the 1957 Cincinnati Redlegs

    Totally random baseball thought...

There's a guy pitching for the Twins wearing No. 8 tonight. It looks so strange. Who's the last pitcher you can recall who had a single digit? Who's the last Redleg pitcher with a single digit?

Ahhhh... It's infielder Jamey Carroll getting mop-up action for the Twins in a blowout loss. That 'splains it.

I'm still curious to know the answer to your question however.

    Kyle Drabek wears #4.

I think Rob Bell wore a single digit, don't remember which one, and I'm not sure it was when he was a Red.

For some reason, I have 29 in the recesses of my memory for Bell. I can't possibly explain why.
