    Ouch what a stat.

The cards bats are just hot cold hot cold. When they are hot though. I hope this is a sign of a week long blizzard.

Don't look now, but the Reds are only 2 games out of second, and the first Wildcard.

    Keep winning, boys!

The next month and a half could be a wild roller coaster...it's awesome. Baseball is awesome. The fact that the teams play every day is awesome.

I love the NFL (die hard fan actually), but so much of it is discussion and analysis of what happened a few days ago on a Sunday afternoon. In baseball, even though it is a super long season, yesterday doesn't matter anymore by the time 7pm rolls around. Constant change in the landscape of the season and standings.

I couldn't agree more. The everyday-ness of baseball and the 162 game schedule is what makes it so special. Those who want to shorten the season just don't get it.
All my posts are my opinion - just like yours are. If I forget to state it and you're too dense to see the obvious, look here!

The exciting Rockies are off to a 1-0 lead over Pittsburgh.
“I don’t care,” Votto said of passing his friend and former teammate. “He’s in the past. Bye-bye, Jay.”

Pittsburgh went up 3-1 thanks to 2 out hits, but now Colorado comes back in the bottom of the frame with 2 out hits of their own and are up 5-3!

Gotta love seeing a 5-spot on the board by the Rocks.

Yep. Hopefully this is the beginning of the Pirates pitching breakdown.

The Cards are in free fall mode (the Molina injury has really killed them) having lost 13 of 17.

Yet the Reds cannot get any hot streak of their own going that last a few weeks. Win one, lose one, Win 2 ...Lose 1, win 1 ...lose 1 or 2.

This offense is not going to catch fire and become something they haven't been all season. I think they'll be better than the last couple of months win %age wise, but I really don't foresee some vicious tear from this club. Just hope they end on a hot note and stay healthy.
