Plus, c'mon, wins are wins, but even the Astros have swept the Angels. Not exactly an indicator of "force".

“I don’t care,” Votto said of passing his friend and former teammate. “He’s in the past. Bye-bye, Jay.”
I'll quit making fun of them when they overcome their epic post AS Break collapses. Right now, they are on a two year streak that must be overcome before they SHOULD be taken seriously.
For example, they have already created one major problem with heavy bullpen use to get where they are today.

Reality check. The Reds have gained 1.5 games on the Cards since they lost to STL on Sunday night 15 days ago.

Wonder if Gully can fix Marmol? Oops, went Back to the Future there for a minute.

Westbrook has a no no thru 5 with only 56 pitches against Houston.
I doubt it will last, but the Astros just took the lead 4-3 over the Cards. Now in the 5th.
Lance Lynn starting to repeat his collapse of last season.

The Tribe's Scott Kazmir taking a no-no into the 7th inning at Baltimore. Would be Cleveland's first no-hitter since Len Barker's in 1981 (the year I graduated high school ).
And at the exact same time I was typing that, the no-hit bid ends with a leadoff double by Manny Machado.
call me shocked -- Houston beat the Whiney Ones
The older I get - the better I was
and yes - I hate the Cardinals (Reds fan since 1958)
I miss Raisor
Cardinals and Pirates are tied for first and the best record in baseball.
Reds remain 3.5 back
Cards have lost 4 of 5, Reds 5 of 6.
Pirates have gone 47-25 since starting the season 1-5
I'm actually really comfortable with the Reds current standing. If they can stay within five-six games at the break, I like Cincinnati's chances. The Pirates bullpen is going to be greatly fatigued come September and the Cardinals are currently squandering a golden opportunity to distance themselves from the Reds.
This is the ol Left Hander rounding third and heading for home.
Brewers put up 3 against Cole and the Buccos in the first and now the Pirates just put up 7 spot in the second. C'mon man.
