Man, lower 1/3 of the zone is apparently only a strike every other time.
Games are won on run differential -- scoring more than your opponent. Runs are runs, scored or prevented they all count the same. Worry about scoring more and allowing fewer, not which positions contribute to which side of the equation or how "consistent" you are at your current level of performance.
That's just BS umpiring there. Terrible.

It didn't miss. That's where. But the umps do NOT like that walking off the mound before the call is made. Just like the batters walking towards first and flipping the bat before the walk is called. Right or wrong, the umps don't like being shown up.
What an awful call, not calling a strike a strike.

Not gonna lie...that was strike three to Martin. Home plate ump has not been good tonight.
It's even more a testament to Leake that he walked only one batter tonight given how tight this zone has been. Wow.
