Agreed. And if they can get Brox and Marshall healthy again, Cingrani would still be a nice luxury to have in middle relief with LeCure, Simon and Hoover.

Simon had kind of a long day yesterday. Three innings.

    Hoover is 0-5 with a 5 ERA.

Partch? Do you follow the minor leagues?

Cingrani was the correct choice and he did great.
I didn't watch yesterday, so I didn't know Simon went 3. He's clearly unavailable. My point was I would've brought up someone else. I leave Tony starting. Maybe I'm wrong...but it's just my preference.

Hoover gotten unlucky quite a bit IMO. He's got quality stuff. As for Partch...he's probably just AAA fodder, but outside of his first game, I thought he's looked quite impressive. Maybe a mirage...heck, LIKELY a mirage...but hard to deny he's looked quite good thus far.

And keep Cingrani in the pen? What do you do if Cueto goes down again in September? It'll take some time to stretch him back out. I think he's just a stopgap until Marshall returns.

We're all in for 2013. There is no turning back. Cingrani in the pen in the Marshalll role is exactly what we need during this tough stretch.

As somebody fully in favor of keeping Cingrani around in the pen, I will admit I am a bit scared that that's where Dusty will want him for the rest of...forever.
“I don’t care,” Votto said of passing his friend and former teammate. “He’s in the past. Bye-bye, Jay.”

Is there some thread about Votto being distracted or whatever?
