He is when the alternative is Hoover and Para. Where have you been for the last few weeks? How many games have we lost because we had no one to set up Chapman? Particularly against left handed hitters. For want of a nail.....

How long does it take for an arm to get "unstretched" anyway? Cingrani obviously has the stamina. He's not going to lose it now.

Jay launched that opposite field blast. Joey's was actually on a pretty nasty pitch for a GABP special.

They want to make the call before you try to "decide" the call for them. It's bs....but it is a real thing with them.
Umpires need thicker skin. They're dealing with players who are amped up and ultra-competitive. So what if a pitcher takes a step towards the dugout after what appears to be a strike? It's a natural reaction and in no way should be taken as showing up the ump.

It's not that...it's how often he's used. If they gradually move him into it, it's fine. But if he goes 3 days in a row, that arm isn't used to being used that way. I trust that they'll handle it right.

I just think that Tony's value comes in being a starter. And I'm afraid they may just end up turning him into a reliever if he has a bit of success.
    2014 predictions:
99-63 WS champs (Cards take 2nd WC, Mil 3rd, Pit 4th, Chi 5th)
Bruce/Votto neck and neck MVP race (neither takes it)
    Bailey CYA winner
    Hamilton ROY & GG
