“I don’t care,” Votto said of passing his friend and former teammate. “He’s in the past. Bye-bye, Jay.”

I think it looks like a young Mario Soto. Soto used to wear sideburns when he first came up and he did play with Pete and Joe for a couple years.
As God as my witness, I thought turkeys could fly.

    IIRC, Pete's not a drinker.

He appears to be holding one of his vices in that picture.

    Yep

The real question is whether he used what was in that cup to wash down a handful of greenies.

I just got back from my lunch break at work and I walked through the cafeteria to get to my office. There's a TV in cafeteria and what do I see but Pete Rose and Kiana on The Jeff Probst Show focused almost completely on Pete complaining about Kiana's breast reduction.
“I don’t care,” Votto said of passing his friend and former teammate. “He’s in the past. Bye-bye, Jay.”
