Yes that was a very impressive infield single. I thought for a second it was leaving the yard. - texasdave 10/13/12

This sort of approach is what I worry about in the playoffs. They seem to lose their minds when their struggling or just need one run.

The Reds have been schizophrenic on offense the entire season. Tom Hanks would say they're like a box of chocolates.

Kal may have to top this thread again if the same posters are again going to start crowning the Pirates as Kings for the third straight year.

    From 2011, lol.
“I don’t care,” Votto said of passing his friend and former teammate. “He’s in the past. Bye-bye, Jay.”

I think you would find that to be true of all teams if you watched them all as closely. Slumps like this are definitely frustrating though I get that.

Well, if we don't score in the 9th, we will have been shut out 3 of our past 5 games.

That's the impression I've had as well. Have you seen this FG article on the topic? Thought about starting a thread on the ORG, but not sure whether it has already been discussed.

Some of the Reds' stars need to start hitting more.

Recently, only Jay Bruce has been effective offensively. Frazier to some extent also.

Votto, Choo, and Phillips are slumping a bit, but in a series like this they are needed.
