Evidently it's hard enough for some people. What a waste. This guy was set for life and his grandkids too.

I wouldn't stay away from the nightclubs and alcohol. But I'd certainly steer clear of the guns.

At 1:12 a.m., the three left in Hernandez's rented silver Nissan Altima, McCauley said. Cell towers tracked their movements to a gas station off the highway. There, he said, Hernandez bought blue Bubblicious cotton candy gum.

And now they're saying Hernandez may have had Lloyd killed because Lloyd knew about that double murder from the previous year.

This story gets crazier get crazier every day, I remember when it started out as 'a body was found near Aaron Hernandez's house'.

I love bourbon. I've used to go to night clubs. I own guns.

I've never killed anyone. Never threatened to kill anyone. Some people are just bad, he appears to be one of those types.

I'm not sure about the rest of you, but I can't see someone take a big hit and think, "how much did that take off their lifespan?" I dont know if there is any connection between the violence of football and the continued violence off the field, but that is constantly creeping into my mind when I watch now.
I can completely understand that way of thinking on your part. I think we all have said at somepoint in our life to another person "I am gonna kill you". Sometimes in anger, sometimes in jest. However when it comes to the NFL you really wonder....does the nature of the sport affect them off the field when their job involves violence? I guess another profession to parallel it with would be that of a police officer. Their job requires them not only to be around violence but to be violent themselves when the situation calls for it. The number of police officers that are alcoholics and wife beaters is staggering. It does make for good conversation.

To be sure. The problem is that when an athlete or a celebrity type goes out they're often putting themselves in a vulnerable situation, which when mixed with alcohol, guns, machismo and poor judgement is a recipe for disaster. Hernandez may be a bad guy but if he was smart enough to not put himself in so many bad situations it seems likely that his story would have had a far happier ending.
