This team can't win it all. They can make the playoffs but they won't win a series unless they add some pieces.

I say there is more to it than that.

These days you just have to make the playoffs and then get hot during the post season. We could limp into the playoffs as a wild card and then suddenly get everyone healthy and firing on all cylinders to win it all. I think I'd prefer that to winning the division and falling out in the first playoff round only to watch the second place team win the World Series.

I see Reynolds pitched tonight, so not him.

AAA can help straighten the bullpen out by providing healthy arms to help rest the real guys. Not expecting great relievers but just some rest for the few real guys.

The Reds failed to address Ludwick's injury. Heisey might possibly get hot upon his return and help. Lutz and Derrick Robinson aren't likely to.

It's the best answer I got without immediate trades.

I believe you have to make the pitcher work and looking back at all the past WS Champions.....when was the last time a free swinging poor approached team won? Look back at them....they always battle, battle and battle the crap out of you....we have Choo and Votto, and Phillips with 2 strikes.

Ouch. Two hit batters in a row, and suddenly the Reds have two on.

I just don't get the feeling that this team is going to be there. Just a hunch, but it has too many deficiencies and missed opportunities (great starting pitching with no hitting and the bullpen failing time after time) to see them being there, but it is early and things could change, but not without some personnel changes.

Lol at this pitcher! Better get your knee pads on. He's scraping his knuckles on the ground then delivering shin burgers
