i wish the hitting Philosophy of the Reds was, they pitch away, you go the other way. Protect the plate.. Not take hittable pitches and swing at balls in the dirt.. etc .. like trying to hit every pitch out of the park philosophy they seem to have now . PLUs hit and run, stealling bases etc
I thought the STL bullpen was supposed to be their downfall? Their starter gets hammered tonight, going just 1.2 and allowing 4 runs, then they bring Kelly in and he tosses 5 shutout innings? Ugh.

I think Bruce is closing the gap with Votto as best player on the team and that's a good thing.

The Reds are 29th in all of MLB in stolen base percentage (22 out of 40). The last thing they need to do is run more.
