Anyway, the link I followed was regarding the likelihood of Molina doping, and I think I have the answer. At the beginning of last season, his stance involved his front foot being toe in the dirt, heel in the air. This forced him to keep his weight on his back foot. This forced him to stay back and wait on the ball, and ensured a weight transfer in-swing instead of pre-swing, offering some increase in bat speed/power. That's my story.
