    Mike Leake is 7-3 2.64

His last 7 starts...6 of them with 1 ER or fewer.

I don't especially like his matchup versus the Dbacks....but if he wins again and keeps his ERA there....he funny enough would enter the AS pitching discussion.

Mike Leake has been all that AND a bag of chips in 2013. No doubt.

I am not sure what Josh Collmenter did out there but he should be in their starting rotation. He would look very good in a Reds' uniform.

Someone tell Martin Prado the season has started.

Don't heckle Prado....he caused us trouble as a Braves player.

I didn't mean that to come across as heckling. I love Prado's approach to the game and he is one of the few ex-Reds that I follow.

Don't think Collmenter missed enough bats in the starting role. Seems like his stuff plays up a lot more in the pen, not unlike our own Sam LeCure.

I think the Reds are reading my posts. I've been touting Mes seventh instead of eighth in the lineup. This is the best way to help his bat. He'll get better pitches this way.

Robinson needs to be replaced against lefties with someone who has some power. Maybe Heisey will hit when he returns soon.

Reds could be dynamite against lefties because two of their LHH, Votto and sometimes Bruce, hit lefties well. But they don't have enough RHH destroying lefties.

He'll probably have 3 errors tonight now that I'm going to post this, but Choo is the best "terrible centerfielder" I've ever seen. The guy had two bad games early in the year and everyone was ready to write him off defensively. Truth of the matter is he's solid in center. Not great, but solid.

We need to get him back to swinging the bat like he was early in the year though. I wonder what happened there. Getting worn out? Pitchers figuring him out? Combination of the two?

You have a wide brush there saying everyone was ready to write him off

True. Certainly not "everyone." Sorry for the hyperbole.

There were a lot of Reds fans chirping that Choo in center would never work out though, after watching him play the first few games of the season. It was an adjustment period. Nothing more. Guy was always a good RF.

Wild speculation, but maybe getting hit by a pitch 127,000 times this season has taken its toll on him.
