Wow when things go bad for the Reds it is like a dumpster fire.

That game is over if Joey makes the play to start the inning. Not literally, but I would bet anything the Reds would have won if they would have got that first out.
Just horrible defense from Votto lately.
Even worse: That joke of an official scorer who ruled that a hit. He/she should be out of a job.
Woo Hoo!!!! Mor National TV successes!!!!!!
They might've scored 6 on him.
You can time out a jet airplane if you see it enough----Leo Mazzone
Chapman matched base runners Leake allowed in 8 inn without getting an out.
11-14 in the last 25....oh wait this team is ok. ;p
Bad way to lose a game. The good thing about baseball? There's one to win tomorrow. Go get 'em tomorrow.

So, here's the question of the night. Leake was dominant. At 92 pitches. Would you have left him in there to finish it off? I know some would want to pinch hit for him there in the 9th...but if your choice is Hannahan, is he enough of an upgrade over Leake's bat to take Mike out of the game?
~edit~ I guess I should add what I would've done. Yeah, I know that Chapman is usually nails. But I look at it from the other perspective...I thought Leake deserved a shot to finish it up. The pinch-hitting argument just doesn't hold water for me if your ph choice is Jack. Don't get me wrong, I like Jack...but his bat is just about on par with Mike's.

At least Leake didn't get the loss.
Is it "next season" yet?
Chapman in the 9th: 18 pitches, 17 fastballs.
The Reds have a lot of talent, but don't seem too smart sometimes. I know Aroldis often can win without throwing anything but fastballs, but when the other guys can sit on his fastball, and not worry about the slider, he can get in trouble.
Where was Price in the 9th tonight?

Look at the bright silde - Chapman will be unhittable for another month until his next meltdown.
Reds are just waiting til the cubs and brewers show up on the schedule again. They're the only teams they can beat. Complete frauds

Honestly, I think it's questionable. 92 pitches is borderline... but he was going really well. And no, I don't think Hannahan is enough of an upgrade to merit the replacement.
Then again, we don't know how Leake was feeling or what he said in the dugout. Maybe he felt gassed -- in which case it was the right decision to get him outta there.
Tough loss tonight. Get 'em tomorrow.
