Dayton fell behind 4-zip in the first against the Lugnuts of Lansing. They have rallied for three in the second.

In the One-Step-Forward-Two-Steps-Back Department, Ismael Guillon failed to get out of the first inning. He was pitching poorly but it still seems like a quick hook to me. .2IP 3H 4R 2ER 3BB 0K.

Daniel Pigott's two-run single capped the three-run second.

Lansing 4 Dayton 3 after two full.

Kyle Lotzkar is on to try to save the game for the Blaze. Hide the women and children. Leading 8-6 heading into the ninth, Lotzkar retired the first batter on a fly ball to right. He has now proceeded to walk a batter and hit two more with pitches to load the bases. Not good.

And it just got a whole lot worse as Lotzkar has blown the save. High Desert scored three runs without the benefit of a hit. Lotzkar walked his second batter of the inning to force in the first run. A sacrifice fly brought home the tying run. And then Lotzkar balked in the go-ahead tally.

On to the bottom of the ninth, Bakersfield needs one to tie and two to walkoff.

Bakersfield goes down in order and lose 9-8.

Further proof that clearing a spot on the 40 man roster should be a non-issue.

Hate to say it, but I think it's time.

Dragons fall 14-8 at Fifth Third Field. Dayton had a total of ten hits, but Lansing capitalized on fifteen hits, as well as two Dragons errors.

I wonder if the Reds have something in 20 year old catcher Daniel Paula. Hit .341 as an 19 year old last year in the AZL, off to a hot start now at Billings. He never played in the DSL, which is unusual for a kid out of the Dominican. BB:K ratio has been good, along w/ the high average. First pro homer yesterday.

Does he want to catch some games against the Giants?
