    NL All-Star outfielders

    wOBA:#1 Carlos Gonzalez(.418) #2 Michael Cuddyer(.411) #3 Shin-Soo Choo(.392) #4 Carlos Gomez(.392) #5 Dexter Fowler(.382)

    wRC+:#1 Carlos Gonzalez(157) #2 Michael Cuddyer(152) #3 Carlos Gomez(152) #4 Shin-Soo Choo(151) #5 Carlos Beltran(145)

    OPS:#1 Carlos Gonzalez(.992) #2 Michael Cuddyer(.968) #3 Carlos Gomez(.925) #4 Shin-Soo Choo(.890) #5 Ryan Braun(.890)

*Michael Cuddyer and Ryan Braun have played only 56 and 57 games, respectively.

So, I think that Carlos Gonzalez, Carlos Gomez and Shin-Soo Choo should be three starting outfielders for the NL All-Star team.

Who do you think should be three starting outfielders for the NL All-Star team?

We all know that more important thing is overall number and that All-Star selection also is judged by overall number, not by split stats.
For instance, Robinson Cano is hitting .227 and Bryce Harper .174 against the lefty. They don't deserve it?
Additionally, 87 at-bats which is very small sample size are simply meaningless just like AVG with RISP and BABIP VS L for Choo in 2013 season is very low(.217) in comparison with his career BABIP vs L(.320).
In today's game against A's, Choo hit the ball hard twice against the lefty but he's got no hit.
you don't think that Bruce hits better than Cano against the lefty, do you?

And you said in other thread like this:"Stick with Choo against righties, but platoon him out against lefties."

    That's non-sense.

    VS lefty, Adam Dunn(.125) Josh Hamilton(.137) Jon Jay(.153) Starlin Castro(.176) Lucas Duda(.179) Dan Uggla(.182) Jayson Heyward(.185) Ryan Howard(.188) Jose Bautista(.189) Josh Reddick(.192) Didi Gregorius(.194) Matt Holliday(.196) Albert Pujols(.208), etc.

Their teams do not platoon them out against lefties.

Rant Warning: I try not to pay too much attention to the All-Star race...... it's just a popularity contest. I'd put more stock in it if it were metric based or at the very least chosen by the players themselves.

All-Star Game is a fun distraction at worst, gives the NL home advantage at best.

    Go NL Team.
