I don't, he'll be easier to resign that way. Move him to left and maybe Billy will be ready. If he's not he plays center with Ludwick in left.

Really disapointed but didn't hold much hope going in to the game.

8 for their last 73 (.110) with RISP.

Bottom line is this team has been extremely mediocre for the last month. 15-15 in their last 30 games. West coast swings suck.

    Re: Reds at A's 6/25

I don't have the feeling I had in 2010 and 2012. Add to that the seasons the Cardinals and Pittsburgh are having and I have little hope we make the playoffs. Pittsburgh is on fire and St. Louis is fading, but not fading enough. Both have the force and we just roll along withy no leadership that I can see. This team misses Scott Rolen so much and you can see it on the field. There is no leader here. Yes, the Reds were 39-32 at this point last year, but the other two teams are far above last year and we continue to lose when they win. that second wild card will disappear quickly if we continue to not hit and score runs. Outside of tonight and other times, the starting pitching has been stellar, but the team will score 11 one game and two the next, which is normal. Bronson laid an egg tonight which he does sometimes. That's why I'm not in favor of offering him any kind of retirement contract. Now we have to rely on Homer to stop this madness tomorrow, and he is off an on. Walt has a lot of decisions to make and my guess is that he is planning his strategy right now. I see a different team soon.

there's many problems with this offense right now. when was the last time they scored more than 4 runs? frazier is one of my favorite Reds but he can't lay off that breaking ball out of the strike zone and it's holding him back.

Reds are still six games ahaed of the next team in the WC race. Unless the Reds fall off the cliff they will be in good shape to at least make the WC game. Not optimal but I'll still take it.
