I am starting to think a trade or lack there of is an edict on Ludwick's health. If Ludwick's return is within the next couple of weeks then I think Walt stands still. If Ludwick's return is still 3-4 weeks off then a move must be made.
I would like to see DeJesus acquired. Robinson is a good defender but I don't like his bat.
I will take any Hall of Famer in his prime right now.

If Jocketty is relying on 35 year old Ryan Ludwick and his bum shoulder to save this offense, then the Reds have more problems beyond the field that extend into the front office.

Dead serious here....does anybody REALLY expect them to land a solid bat? I sure don't. In fact I'd be surprised if they don't just stand pat.

We looked at several deals for position players that we looked at. In the end, we liked what we had and those deals just didn’t make sense for us. … We just decided to focus on pitching.

The position player deals just weren’t right for us, and we felt good about adding an arm like Broxton. We’re still going to look at things in August. There’s still deals that could be made in August, so we’ll keep looking at it.

Or we can go and post articles on the Latos, Rolen, Marshall, Chapman acquisitions and say that this guy typically isn't afraid to take on risk.
