    Re: Pet Picture Thread

I had to give my australian shephards away in 2011. Spent 8 months in Kuwait and immediately follow that up with 12 months in Korea. Hard to just ask someone to babysit your dogs for 2 years. I'm back stateside in August, and looking forward to getting another dog, now that I will be a little more permanent.

Mickey, who is from NJ but resides in NC with my folks. About as friendly as a cat can be, pictured here in his 'special occasions' bow tie and cardboard box he enjoys doing construction on (by biting off pieces of it every now and then).
“I don’t care,” Votto said of passing his friend and former teammate. “He’s in the past. Bye-bye, Jay.”

^ That's a great picture. Looks like he's dressed for the afternoon tea time.

All the pictures are great BTW. Keep them coming.

Roxie is the 10 year old fawn boxer that just died before Christmas. Miss her so.

The brindle 7 month old is Sacha and she is a handful.

Thanks WOY. These are my only 2, my wife had 2 boxers before we met and really sold me on them. They are very sweet, emotional dogs and I doubt I will ever stray from the breed.

When I see the 2016 Reds, I see a 100 loss team and no direction.

    Re: Pet Picture Thread

I run a kinda Dog Hospice at my house. I have one dog Lila, the brown pit mix, that I've had for 11 years since she was a pup. After her brother died in 2006, I've adopted seniors with terminal illnesses to keep her company.

It's sad, but many dogs in their senior years, when the vet bills get too much, get dumped at the shelter. I think it's horrible that a pet gives you its best years, only to be abandoned when they need care the most.

Bruno is Lila's sixth brother, who I just adopted this weekend. He's a 16 year old spaniel who has liver cancer. He was abandoned a year ago and spent the last year in a cage. He lost most of his hair from the cancer and treatment. He also might be a good contestant in the ugliest dog contest too, lol. Just hoping to give him a comfortable home for his final days.

You sir are a good man

I can give transfusions of saline to animals and get any med down a throat thanks to trying to help my buddy, and what I learned from it was that it love is bigger than anything you can give them from the vet.

    Bravo !
