Only bright spot tonight-- once Cingrani settled in, it was an overall great job from the bullpen. But with zilch in Reds run production, it's still a loss.
How appropriate that it ends with two out and a RISP. Make it 23 straight scoreless innings. Sigh.

FWIW, the Rds playoff chances have gone down to 65%. The Pirates are suddenly over 80%.
Hoping the Nats and Giants stay in their funk at .500 or less. The 6th place NL team is 40-39 which explains the current wildcard #2 cushion.
This team can absorb no more injuries at this point to the rotation, bullpen or position players. They are in .500 ball hang on mode and hope the rest of the NL contenders like the Giants and Nats continue to be in full scale suck mode until August.
Robbie Ross would be huge help to Reds' pen. Sure the Rangers aren't looking to move him, but would love to have the Lexington product in a C hat.
