Pirates are on a tear.
Pierzynski did 2 360's before that ball hit the ground.
How many Tommy John surgeries has Kremcheck performed? Research it. You woild be shocked. He knows what to look for. And my guess, it is the player and agent that request the second opinion, instead of the team doctor.
And no you cannot force surgery, but you can test it against baseline, and if you know cartlidge problems, then you know there is no WAY, if monitored correctly, that you can get close to 85% strength without pain or some sort of heavy pain medication within days or of the injiry. At that point the training staff should have some input. Votto hurt it against San Fran and played on it for a good week before tearing it. He should not have been in that situation.
As far as Bray is concerned.... shoulder fatigue.... he is fine.... the same motto for Marshall and the pattern continues for Cueto.
Hell.... read the comments Cueto made when he left the playoff game. He said he told a trainer and they basically said stretch it out.

He is Ford tough
BP goes yard here....

EXACTLY. The injury happened on late August correct. He wanted surgery immediately bit was duped to believe that surgery is last resort and to rehab it. By the time he could get surgery it was too late, the recovery time would put him well into the start of the season. So, then why rush into surgery six months later, his career was over.

Do they know it's Christmas time at all
Well it cleared the infield in the air. Close enough....
Lets go Devon.
Just a base hit...don't go up there hacking.
To late for a surgery? It was a foot, not a heart. It was never too late for a foot surgery. He was complaining in April that he couldn't chase after his kids. Did he, after being a free agent in October, not see a doctor/trainer until April of the next year despite not being able to run around? I highly doubt it.
At the end of the day, it is pretty simple for me. There is no way that a multi-billion dollar company is keeping on doctors and trainers for over a decade because they aren't good at their jobs. This is athletics, not a car company. The Reds and any other team in baseball is hiring the people that are best qualified to take care of the product.
Big rally.....
((Sigh)) 4-47 RISP
Aside from 6 walks by Cingrani, the pitching has been lights out tonight.
Cards are already down 4 -0.
I'll be here all night......
Miller gets knocked out in the 2nd. 5-0 A's
Looks like the Cards are starting to settle down. Great time to set a consecutive scoreless inning streak.
I think Cueto keeps coming back too fast. I don't know if that's on doctors or trainers or both. But if he is feeling anything wrong, he needs to be honest, and rest it till ALL signs are cleared up.
Cueto may be saying he's fine then comes back, and it acts up. The Reds have no way to know how he feels, a pull is not a tear, or strain.
If I was the team he would not pitch till at least August. If then.
Needs to change his delivery. It was only a matter of time before this injury got to him.
