This game was SO cool. I wasn't home to see Homer's last no hitter so being able to watch this one as it was happening live on TV (and have so much trouble breathing that I felt like I needed a breathing treatment, LOL) was BEYOND awesome! Congrats Homer and YAY Reds!!!
I'm so looking forward to going to the game tomorrow night and hopefully Homer left some of his magic on the mound for Cingrani!

An MLB.com reporter asked what one thing Votto couldn’t do. “I can’t skate or play hockey,” Votto said. “Well, I can skate ... but I can’t stop.”

hell yeah Homer
Just watched the replays. As I said, Votto's heads up play to 3rd which absolutely saved the no-hitter (especially after Homer neglected to get off the mound anything close to quickly). Seeing one of the oddest double plays on Homer's bunt, see that replay just hitting right in front of the plate and poor Hanigan being hung out to dry. And watching the replay of the walk, just tailing ever so slightly inside to walk the batter. What a game!

Sorry, guys. Here's what I wrote on Facebook sharing the out by out replay of the game from MLB - "Seriously, I'm one lucky guy to be married to such a brilliant baseball fan woman!" recounting how I conveyed to my wife that a no hitter was happening.
The funny thing is, we had a chance for an extra ticket and she checked to see if our son wanted to go, but he had to work. I texted him around 9:00 when I knew he was supposed to be finishing and told him to turn the game on. When Homer pitched the one in Pittsburgh, my wife and I were at a movie at the Kenwood Theatre and I got a text from him saying to turn on the game. We went next door to Deweys, ordered drinks and watched it. The whole restaurant watched it. So a little tit-for-tat there - but he was frustrated he wasn't able to get off last night.

Kudos to Homer! It would have been a shame to lose a no-hitter because you didn't cover first. So, Kudos to Joey Baseball as well!
