    That just can't happen.
Rounding third and heading for home...

Good news is, it's only been 5 innings.
“I don’t care,” Votto said of passing his friend and former teammate. “He’s in the past. Bye-bye, Jay.”

Yep, I don't think you could do any worse right there.

Votto has definitely not been "terrible" over the last month. He may have been simply "excellent" instead of his normal "superb", but superlatives are the only real descriptors that should be used IMO.

Bad news is we have to watch this offense a few more times tonight.

The bottom of the fourth and fifth there were pretty horrible displays.

Runners on first and third, no out ... Votto, Phillips and Bruce coming up. And we get zero runs out of it. That's about a 1-in-100 chance to make a WAG.

Just doesn't feel like our night. Course, only down 1 with plenty of time to go (and things did go pretty well for the home team the last 2 nights).

How can anyone call Votto disinterested? The guy looks like he's about to bite someone's head off half the time, and the other half he's dropping f-bombs.

    That's for sure.

Reds really have to watch it with Cingrani here. 94 pitches, hasn't started in weeks.

    Baker should have bunted.

At some point during Phillips' at bat, I was going to suggest that.

A better idea would have been to hit the ball someplace.

Agreed. I know some folks aren't worried by his change of recent roles, but I think Dusty and Price need to be careful here. This fella is really important to the team's chances this year, wherever he ends up pitching.
