Everyone who made the NL squad ahead of Bruce and Choo are having monster years, so can't complain.

So who fights it out to be the 32nd man on both rosters?
I'm assuming Bruce has to be one of the candidates for the NL.

Puig over Bruce would piss me off...sorry.

Surprised at no Choo, not even the final vote deal.
Travis Wood is the first pitcher drafted by Reds to make the All Star game since BJ Ryan.

Jay Bruce's rank among NL outfielders:
HR - 4th
RBI - 3rd
2B - 1st
Hits - 5th
XBH - 2nd
Runs - 6th
TB - 3rd
SLG - 6th
OPS - 9th
How does that not translate into at least a final vote candidate?
Hunter Pence?

Hunter Pence is Bochy's guy. 'Nuff said.

Jay Bruce was kind of surprise pick last year. I would rather seem him rested and recharged.

Agreed. For those who argue that Puig's one monster month makes him a deserving candidate, I would ask this: what if his monster month was in April and then he got injured, or simply did not play well in May and June. Should one good month be enough then? And, what about this: evidently he wasn't good enough in April and May to play in the Bigs. So why shouldn't those count as months when he did nothing?
Or maybe I'm wrong. Ranting. wanted JB in the AS game.
For every action there is an equal and opposite criticism.
Choo had the inside track on a reserve slot until the last month IMO. Bruce staged a late mad dash but came up short.
