Even when others had Cozart penciled in as the longterm SS I was in favor of keeping our eyes open for an upgrade, but I could live with Cozart batting 8th in a lineup where we have a legitimate left fielder. But it's apparently Cozart batting #2 or nothing with Dusty and nothing is a far superior option.

Speaking of upgrades, while Segura is obviously going nowhere, I would potentially look into seeing what pitching it would take for Milwaukee to part with Lucroy.

I disagree. They just need to not put the current one at the top of the lineup.
...the 2-2 to Woodsen and here it comes...and it is swung on and missed! And Tom Browning has pitched a perfect game! Twenty-seven outs in a row, and he is being mobbed by his teammates, just to the thirdbase side of the mound.

I have a feeling 1-1 will not be the final score of the game

But with his OBP, it's impossible to argue that he should be in the lineup. It's just unacceptable.
A .261 on base is so bad it's hard for me to comprehend. So bad.

I was worried when Bruce lead off with a single that Cozart (from the bench) would GIDP on the 1st pitch.

Cozart could be hitting 11th and it would still be too high.

He's not only at .261, but it's going down still.

I won't mind the horrible OBP if he could be a tradional #2 hitter and advance runners on a regular basis. He's terrible at that too.

Can't agree, his sub-.300 OBP is disqualifying. It's just not a major league number. Cannot have a .261 OBP. And last year was also sub-.300.

It's below the bare minimum. And I am a fan of Cozart. But being realistic. It's like having two pitchers in the lineup. No matter where he hits in the order.

The best suggestion I heard all season is to acquire Jimmy Rollins. Won't happen unless Philly falls way out. But if they decide to rebuild, it would be a tremendous thing for the Reds, even at this stage of his career.

0-2 on Mes after a very questionable strike call.

I think the Cozart comments are starting to violate Board rules of excessive player criticism.

Philly will be buyers. They are very close to the second wild card spot.
