One plea from me today while I'm at work: Please win.
"I tried to play golf, but I found out I wasn't very good." -Joey Votto on his offseason hobby search

An MLB.com reporter asked what one thing Votto couldn’t do. “I can’t skate or play hockey,” Votto said. “Well, I can skate ... but I can’t stop.”

I read that he was likely to be sent back to the minors after the game today no matter what happens.

Yep, if the Reds lose today, the season is over. Time to pack it up and head home

This is a big game. If you aren't alarmed by this stretch I don't know what to tell ya, getting swept by one of the worst teams in major league baseball cannot happen.

Team is absolutely reeling and needs to leave town with a win.

This all wouldn't be that bad, but the impact of having two teams ahead of the Reds is very damaging. If the Reds are, say, 7 out by the ASB and have to overcome two teams, it's tough. Not impossible, but tough.

Wild card situation is obviously a lot better and Reds still in good shape there.

I am alarmed by this recent stretch but a loss today isn't going to break the season. Also a win isn't going to instantly turn it around either.

Yes but Reds playing 17 of 20 on the road now. So far they are 0 and 2 in that stretch.

The Reds have to survive these 20 games in some kind of decent shape and then make hay with more home games later on.

So they have to win some of these.

I agree they have to start winning a few of these road games or they will fall out of the division and maybe the WC by end of the month.

    Cozart grounds to third.

I will dispute anyone who says Cozart always grounds to short. I think that is a vast oversimplification.

He also grounds to third frequently. So there, LOL.

Is Marty ranting about Cozart not grounding to the right side?
...the 2-2 to Woodsen and here it comes...and it is swung on and missed! And Tom Browning has pitched a perfect game! Twenty-seven outs in a row, and he is being mobbed by his teammates, just to the thirdbase side of the mound.
