    Minor League Updates: Wednesday 7/10/2013

Louisville is at Toledo again tonight.

Note: Earlier in the day it was showing that Daniel Corcino was going to start. This would have been on his normal turn. Maybe they are just giving him an extra day off.

Armando Galarraga is making his first start since a brief stay on the DL. He retired the Mud Hens in order in the first.
Billy Hamilton led off the game with a walk but nothing came of it.
Louisville strikes in the second for three runs. Henry Rodriguez gets it started with a walk. Denis Phipps' single is followed by a Felix Perez double, which plates Rodriguez. Two outs later, Billy Hamilton's single and errant throw bring home Phipps and Perez. 3-0 Bats.
The Bats tack on one more in the third. Single by Soto, double by Hessman and sac fly by Phipps. 4-zip Bats.

Armando Galarraga has worked 4 hitless innings so far tonight.

I think Billy is starting to get a handle on AAA.
“I don’t care,” Votto said of passing his friend and former teammate. “He’s in the past. Bye-bye, Jay.”

The Dayton Dragons come out swinging against the Cedar Rapids Kernels.

Singles by Amaral, Diaz and Gelalich precede a grand slam by Jesse Winker (10).
Sal Romano works a 1-2-3 first. 4-0 Dayton after one. Dayton has picked up at least one run in the second. Single by Hudson, walk to Amaral, single by Diaz. Diaz is 2-2 and his average is up to .346. No pop whatsoever. In approximately 95 PA this year he has two extra-base hits. Both doubles.

Billings leads 4-1 after two. I think the farm boys were a little ticked about Dusty saying that nobody in the system is hitting.

I would. Billy had a .274 OBP in June and has a .286 OBP in July. He has a very long way to go.

Even Zach Cozart thinks that's low.
