That inning, in short. 2 singles, then a fastball right down the plate to Freeman who hammers it to center for a game tying double. Walk on a questionable 3-1 call to McCann, Uggla fouled out near the stands, Upton struck out but reached as Mes couldn't find the ball and then hit Upton on the throw to first, and Johnson struck out with the bases loaded to end the frame.
"Since I've been with the Reds in 1989, we've never had a farm system this loaded," Bowden said. "If we were the New York Yankees and had unlimited dollars, we could have traded for Colon, (Jeff) Weaver, Rolen, (Cliff) Floyd, (Kenny) Rogers and Finley and gotten them all -- and still held onto our top five prospects. That's an amazing statement."

Heisey lines out to left. One down.

is it my imagination or does our staff constantly get off to shaky starts? Anybody have the stats on how we do in the first inning compared to the rest of the league?

The story of the season...Choo singles, Votto walks, Phillips singles, Bruce singles
    Cozart K's, Frazier K's, Mesoraco K's, Heisey F7, Latos 6-3.

Latos entered tonight with 33 strikeouts over his last three starts (20.1 IP) and 42 K's over his last four starts (25.1 IP).

He's got 3 K's in 1.1 IP so far tonight.
    I miss Adam Dunn.
