    Fix The Derby?

Seems like the home run derby would be a lot more exciting to watch if they put the TRUE leading homerun hitters in each year instead of letting a captain pick them. Hard to believe the Big Donkey has never participated in one.

Amen! I have yet to watch one since it's inception. But then I've been pretty sour on the AS game for many years too. It's a joke as long as it's lineups, who does and doesn't deserve to be there, are dictated by fan voting.

Yes it's like the dunk contest in the NBA. It was nice at first but got old really fast.

I used to love it when it was Big Mac, Griffey, Bonds, Sosa. But now it's not nearly as good. Even though Hamilton's performance in old Yankee stadium still is pretty awesome.

The Home Run Derby was cool when it was a half hour TV show between 2 players in black and white with re-runs on ESPN. Since that time it has just been lame.

They should do re runs of that instead of letting Berman sound like an idiot for 2 hours. The interviews with the players while the other guys were hitting were awesome.

Just 2? I thought it went 3 hours. Although it may have seemed like it goes 3.

Honestly, I haven't watched it in years. I don't think I've watched it since Griffey was a participant.

Fitting that they let a cartoon character do the play-by-play.

My suggestion is to place a couple attack dogs at home plate. When a player hits a ball in the field of play, unleash the dogs to maul whichever kid snags it.

2 Pit Bulls dragging a terrified kid across the outfield, with the screams and the blood and the other kids running for their lives, now that's prime time.

    This is pretty offensive.

This is a family website and having graphic posts about dogs mauling children has no place here.
