Each team gets one rep. In 1st round you get 3 outs. Top 10 move to round 2, where you get 5 outs. Final round is final 4 with 9 outs. I think if you had a player from your team representing your team, you'd be more interested.

I love the Derby but wouldn't mind it being shortened a little bit somehow. It's starts to drag after awhile.

The super slow-mo shots of the timing and how all that power is transferred from the ground level, out through the bat, and into the ball always gets me geeked.

Are the Pirates still leading in plunked batsmen?
Yep, still 1st in the NL, five hit batters ahead of the next team

Bryce Harper and Yeonis Cespedes put on a freaking show.

How you can watch that and not enjoy it, even with the insanity that is Chris Berman, I have no idea.

Cespedes not a big guy at all, yes he's put together well but only 5'10" 205.
Wow! A lot of power in that man!

Watching guys hitting off a tee (basically) is just not that exciting to me.

I get the power though and it is awesome. To me it's like watching the strong guys at the carnival swinging the sledgehammer over and over again making the bell ring. When the bell keeps ringing, it gets old.

    Re: Fix The Derby?

I would like to see the HR derby where the city that is hosting it automatically has a player from that team in it. Say in 2015 Bruce or Stanton(hoping he ends up a Red before a Cardinal) represents the Reds. also I would like it they added a past player to each side(one AL and 1 NL) by a fan vote(Say Griffey Jr is voted to be in it)If its Cincy, he represents the Reds/Mariners if somewhere else) and I wish they had it so the top 3 from each league went on. So the first round was 10 outs/next round was 8 outs/next round was 6 outs etc.... Also have it so the rounds are NL against AL so that the final 2 are one from each league.

AND to make it exciting have banners in the outfield that if a player hits one, a fan who registers online could win a car/a million dollars/Lifetime tickets etc.. to enhance fans to watch... even have the balls have digital codes that fans catch can also win prizes.. just to spice it up//

It is what it is and most people if it's on TV will watch it. If it's on to draw new fans or get kids intrested so be it.
