Yeah, too bad Ludwick went down because now the 2 hole is a disaster. Next year is going to be interesting with Choo gone and a not ready for prime time Billy Hamilton. I am sure Walt has a plan.

If I were Jocketty, I'd trade Hamilton and sign Choo to a 4-5 yr contract. Can't imagine where the Reds would be if Choo wasn't here right now.

If you can find a suitable center fielder, I am on board. But Choo shouldn't be in center field this year, much less moving forward. He is a very poor defender out there. I don't blame him for that, he isn't a center fielder, but the Reds need an actual center fielder in center.

Slide Bruce to center, Choo to right, and Ludwig to left. Ship Hamilton, Yorman Rodriquez, Bailey, and Cozart away for a quality SS and power hitting 3rd baseman. Hamilton, Cozart, and Rodriquez are never going to hit. And Bailey is never going to sign for the Reds beyond next year. The time is now!!

IMHO, Jocketty worked a "miracle" by solving a long-standing problem without dealing away young starting pitching.

    Truly impressive.

In 2012, #1 hitters in batting order had reached base collectively 191 times by 146 hits, 37 walks and 8 HBPs during entire season
In 2013, #1 hitters in batting order have reached base collectively 192 times by 107 hits, 66 walks and 19 HBPs as of 95 games.

Amazing stats. Thanks, junkhead. Put Votto in the 2 spot and we would have the first two batters on base with no outs in about 1 in four games.

Now you should compare the 2 spot in the order the last two years...

If those guys are never going to hit, what makes you think a team would want them? There have been several threads out there showing that there aren't many "quality" SS in the league as it is.

I like Frazier at 3B. He's done very well defensively. This is only his second season. Give him a little bit of time to determine who he is.
