Have there been any recent estimates on how much it would cost to rebuild Steve Austin today?

There are 170 MLB players making more that 6 million this season. What 6 million buys you in MLB today:
    http://data.newsday.com/long-island/...rentRecord=151
    Code:
Mark Reynolds	Cleveland Indians	First baseman Ohio American League	AL Central	$6,000,000	28
Jhonny Peralta	Detroit Tigers Shortstop Michigan	American League	AL Central	$6,000,000	30
Joe Saunders	Seattle Mariners	Starting pitcher	Washington	American League	AL West $6,000,000	31
Scott Feldman	Chicago Cubs Starting pitcher	Illinois	National League	NL Central	$6,000,000	29
Cody Ross	Arizona Diamondbacks	Right fielder Arizona National League	NL West $6,000,000	31
Aaron Harang	Los Angeles Dodgers	Starting pitcher	California	National League	NL West $6,000,000	34
Jeremy Affeldt	San Francisco Giants	Bullpen California	National League	NL West $6,000,000	33
That's right Aaron Harang, Gentlemen, we can rebuild him. We have the technology. We have the capability to make the world's first bionic man. Aaron Harang will be that man. Better than he was before. Better, stronger, faster..

    Pirates rotation set:

The post-All-Star Break rotation will be: Francisco Liriano, A.J. Burnett, Jeff Locke, Charlie Morton and Gerrit Cole.
That's assuming that Locke's back soreness is better by Sunday.

    And Giants rotation set:

Slated to pitch on Friday against Arizona, Gaudin will be followed by Matt Cain, Madison Bumgarner, Tim Lincecum and Barry Zito. Zito's start coincides with the July 23 doubleheader against the Reds that was forced by the July 4 postponement at Cincinnati.
So depending on what the Giants do for that doubleheader, the Reds will miss Bumgarner and Cain. And that should be Lincecum's first start after his no-no, which hopefully means he gets shelled.
