Get thee a pair of sunglasses, Fraiz.
"Since I've been with the Reds in 1989, we've never had a farm system this loaded," Bowden said. "If we were the New York Yankees and had unlimited dollars, we could have traded for Colon, (Jeff) Weaver, Rolen, (Cliff) Floyd, (Kenny) Rogers and Finley and gotten them all -- and still held onto our top five prospects. That's an amazing statement."

Lack of sunglasses is inexcusable on a day like this.

anybody else notice that sick breaking ball for the second strike against uggla? if he can get better at throwing that consistently, we have ourselves a pretty amazing pitcher on our hands

That run exemplifies why the team is in third right now.

Yep. That's an "earned" run alright.
Games are won on run differential -- scoring more than your opponent. Runs are runs, scored or prevented they all count the same. Worry about scoring more and allowing fewer, not which positions contribute to which side of the equation or how "consistent" you are at your current level of performance.

That blown play is going to bite Cingrani/Reds. He was about to get out of the inning with low pitch count...and now a run scores.
