When Joey came up he was a poor first baseman but it appeared to be inexperience more than lack of ability. Sure enough he obviously really worked at it and became a golden glover. That's why this demise is so wierd. It really appears to be lack of concentration.

It's possible his defensive subroutines were damaged and the drivers may need to be reinstalled. Quick trip to 2045 for a reboot should take care of it

I'm a Mesoraco supporter, but his case for more playing time in Hanigan's absence is going about as poorly as possible right now.
“I don’t care,” Votto said of passing his friend and former teammate. “He’s in the past. Bye-bye, Jay.”

Nice start there. Pretty breaking ball. Now a fastball strike.

    Good sign.

Reds never get any breaks, I swear. I read it on a message board so it must be true.

Nice to see him throwing that slurve a bit, but man, that thing is just begging to deposited 20 rows up if it finds too much zone.
Games are won on run differential -- scoring more than your opponent. Runs are runs, scored or prevented they all count the same. Worry about scoring more and allowing fewer, not which positions contribute to which side of the equation or how "consistent" you are at your current level of performance.
