That trivia question....only reds rookie to be selected to the all star game. That's not right is it? I mean Bench was, but so was Sabo...right?

Am I the only one who has never heard of 1/2 these Braves playing today?

Was it limited to position players? Wayne Simpson was an All-Star his rookie season.

I think the key to that question was "as a starter." I thought it was Bench, but sure could be wrong.

Yes, back when he was white.
"Since I've been with the Reds in 1989, we've never had a farm system this loaded," Bowden said. "If we were the New York Yankees and had unlimited dollars, we could have traded for Colon, (Jeff) Weaver, Rolen, (Cliff) Floyd, (Kenny) Rogers and Finley and gotten them all -- and still held onto our top five prospects. That's an amazing statement."
