I heart bunting for base hits.

    I hate sac bunts.

Perhaps not. I'll never vent in a game thread again because I forgot that being emotional and using hyperbole is not allowed anymore. I'm usually in the sunshine brigade, but even I can only take so many bonehead plays.

With that bunt, I noticed Cingrani bent his knees, dropped his butt and kept the bat level to get ahold of it and put it on the ground. I wonder if he can teach the rest of the guys who seem to think you should angle the bat down, take a psuedo-swing and end up popping it up.
Games are won on run differential -- scoring more than your opponent. Runs are runs, scored or prevented they all count the same. Worry about scoring more and allowing fewer, not which positions contribute to which side of the equation or how "consistent" you are at your current level of performance.

    2014 predictions:

Bruce/Votto neck and neck MVP race (neither takes it)
    Bailey CYA winner
    Hamilton ROY & GG

I agree, but see my response to Doug. Sometimes I miss the freewheeling nature of the old game threads. I usually love to carefully analyze things, but sometimes I relish a visit to the virtual sports bar.

Robinson goes up there hacking at the first pitch again, fouled it off. Then pops up on the next pitch.

Votto with a double. We're all tied!
