Does that mean you're done for the year?

    See you next season!

Sure, be critical. Votto didn't deliver, and it sucked. But Thom's incessant harping on the RBI number puts him up there as about the worst announcer in baseball.
“I don’t care,” Votto said of passing his friend and former teammate. “He’s in the past. Bye-bye, Jay.”

Yep, Thom is probably the only one who was frustrated right there. (I agree he puts too much emphasis on RBIs though.)

Would love to see it broken down how many times they've had bases loaded and 0 outs and came out with 1 run or less this season.
Rounding third and heading for home...

And the jury has reached its verdict: This post has been found overly dramatic.

I didn't realize that Partch was a Daywalker.
Hugs, smiling, and interactive Twitter accounts, don't mean winning baseball. Until this community understands that we are cursed to relive the madness.

The Reds might very well lose this game.

On the other hand they may not.

Everyone was frustrated, but Thom acts like Joey sneaks into his house and kicks his dog every evening. His family's blasting of Votto and slobbering all over BP is over the top.

If there were a runner on 3rd and no outs and Votto grounded out for an RBI, Thom would have lauded Votto for getting the RBI.
...the 2-2 to Woodsen and here it comes...and it is swung on and missed! And Tom Browning has pitched a perfect game! Twenty-seven outs in a row, and he is being mobbed by his teammates, just to the thirdbase side of the mound.

We are all disappointed with the result.

But baseball is not a game where results can be expected per se.

You have a pitcher who figures prominently into the equation. And batters, even the best ones, fail more often than they succeed.

I will only get critical of players who fail over large sample sizes. It's impossible to judge players over one play.

No matter how disappointed I am.
