    Sunday July 21st Minor League Updates

    Louisville cruised to a 4-1 win today.


    Daniel Corcino: 5.2 IP, 2 H, ER, 3 BB, 5 K
    Kanekoa Texeira: .2 IP, BB
    Zach Duke: 1.2 IP, H, K ( still sporting a perfect ERA in Louisville)
    Pedro Villarreal: 1 IP, H, K ( seems to have transitioned well to the bullpen)


    Billy Hamilton: 2-3, 2B, RBI, BB, 2 SB, 2 R
    Felix Perez: 2-4, HR, 3 RBI

    His performance would justify it, but he seems to struggle everywhere but the Cal League.

    Yeah, I don't get it either. His jump in production from Dayton to Bakersfield last year was just hilarious (.618 SLG in 69 games). Same thing again this year...

    Time to see if Selsky can do it in AA. Move SMB to Bakersfield and move Vidal to DH if necessary or back to Pensacola himself, where Costanzo has now been playing 3B.

    I agree Silva deserves it. Problem at Pensacola is that you want to give AB's every day to Yorman, LaMarre, and Lutz. Selsky could play first there in place of Mattair. What we needed was for LaMarre or Lutz to have justified a move to AAA, but unfortunately that hasn't happened. I might move one of them anyway to make way for Silva at Pensacola.

    LaMarre is frustrating. He thought he was slighted by not going in the first round and set out to prove he was first round talent. That never materialized. I think we need to cut bait with him so he doesn't hold someone else up.
    Attended 1976 World Series in my Mother's Womb. Attended 1990 World Series Game 2 as a 13 year old. Want to take my son to a a World Series Game in Cincinnati in my lifetime.
