This is the time. The real Reds organization is back.

I lived in Seattle from 83-88. I grew up a Harry Reynolds fan. I'd poke my ears out if I had to listen to him for three hours.

Reynolds isn't noticably horrid, but then again I don't watch analysis shows that much. I'll wait to see how he sounds in the booth before passing judgement. I can't imagine anyone being more annoying to listen to than McCarver, though.

I like Verducci and Reynolds. Both have their faults, especially after Verducci wrote that crazy column about how to improve the game. Nobody wants to listen to a broadcast team with one single mindset, be it old school or analytical. You can learn baseball from just about any analyst if you have an open mind.

I don't like Verducci because of the completely non-scientific BS "verducci effect" he writes about annually.

By the way, my biggest problem with Harold isn't that I disagree with his way of thinking. I do, but everyone can have a difference if opinion.

My biggest problem is that he's a horrible communicator.

He's not broadcast quality, like most jocks.

I wish McCarver would take Buck with him.

I'd prefer a recording or nails on a chalk board and/or the soundtrack from my ex's honeymoon to listening to Tim McCarver.

Watching him draft a fantasy team on MLB network was great. He took Mariano Rivera in the first round, which tells you what you need to know about Harold Reynolds.

I guess it has been long enough for Harold Reynolds sexual harassment charges to get quiet.

I miss Steve Lyons, I thought he was a good announcer.

Re: Harold Reynolds & Tom Verducci to join Joe Buck

It seems that everyone is commenting on Reynold's on his analysis in studio. I'm not the biggest fan of his commentary. However, I'm willing to have an open mind as studio commentary is a bit different from color commentary in a broadcast. I haven't heard much of him, if at all, do color during a baseball game. His personality might be somewhat different in game so I'm going to give him a chance. I think he will still be a huge upgrade over McCarver.
