We couldn't buy a HR at home last weekend. Now we're mashing in one of the biggest parks...go figure. Somebody spike the water?

I've always felt that the SS should hit 2nd.

Mesoraco is really locked in and loaded right now. Good to see. He has confidence and the game seems to be slowing down for him. If he keeps this up the rest of the season, it certainly changes the complexion of the lineup.

9 hits from the 6-9 hitters tonight, while 1-5 have only 3 hits total. Baseball is a frustrating game to figure out at times.

Reds have scored 19 runs in just 14 innings with Mark Berry coaching at third.

There is nothing frustrating about this particular game.

Cingrani has no idea where the ball is going, doesn't really have an offspeed pitch, and dudes still are wailing at his fastball.

Imagine what he'll be when he figures it all out.

Maybe he'll be the next Koufax or Randy Johnson.......they both had big control problems for a few years until they figured it out.

Albeit in a lot fewer plate appearances, Devin Mesoraco now has a higher OPS than Brandon Phillips.

    Mesoraco: .262/.330/.412 - .742 OPS

    Phillips: .266/.318/.411 - .729 OPS

Totally agree. I was skeptical about him in the minors just based on the over-reliance of the fastball, but if he can control his offspeed stuff and not be afraid to use it, he's going to have a very nice future.

I dig what this Reds' rotation has become.

Hopefully Cingrani can get through six, the Reds can plate a few more runs and let Parch or someone finish the game out by his lonesome.

Nice inning by Cingrani. Hopefully he can throw a clean 6th inning and hand the game over to the bullpen.
